playstation experience 2015 push square community quiz results.jpg

PlayStation Experience 2015 has come and gone, which means that it's time to find out whether the Push Square community was able to correctly predict the events of Sony's press conference. We asked you 20 yes or no questions, and we're happy to report that over 160 of you took part in the quiz. The last time that we did this, for E3 2015, you managed get 11 of the 20 questions correct - a decent enough score, but here's hoping that you've done even better this time around.

Will a new God of War game be announced at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 63% No: 37%

Whoops! A whopping 63 per cent of you predicted that a new God of War game would show up at Sony's presser - but the dream never came true. To be fair, even we thought that this was going to happen, so we can't exactly blame you for voting yes on this one.

If a new God of War game is announced, will Kratos feature in its reveal?

Yes: 57% No: 43%

Oh no, not off to the greatest of starts, are we? A new God of War game wasn't even announced, so there was no chance of Kratos being there in the first place. Sadly, 57 per cent of you thought that we'd see the baldy barbarian at the show.

Will Uncharted 4: A Thief's End get a new trailer and/or new gameplay at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 87% No: 13%Untitled

Phew, you're finally off the mark. It feels as though we've seen more than enough of Nathan Drake's latest adventure this year, but that didn't stop Sony from opening its presser with Naughty Dog's upcoming blockbuster.

Will a new game from Sony Bend be announced at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 80% No: 20%

Oh dear, Sony Bend's played us again. The secretive studio was nowhere to be found at the PlayStation Experience, although we really can't blame 80 per cent of you for voting yes - even we thought that this was the right time.

Will Sony spend over five minutes talking about PlayStation 2 emulation on PlayStation 4?

Yes: 57% No: 43%

Given that PlayStation 2 emulation was big news just days before Sony's press conference, many were certain that it'd feature at the event, but that wasn't the case. In a cruel twist of fate for 57 per cent of you, PS2 titles were nowhere to be seen at the show.

Will Dreams show up again at the PlayStation Experience press conference?

Yes: 65% No: 35%

After a big showing at Paris Games Week earlier in the year, we wondered whether developer Media Molecule would have anything new to bring to the PlayStation Experience. As it turns out, the game turned up on the official livestreams after the presser, but not during.

Will No Man's Sky get a confirmed PlayStation 4 release date at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 44% No: 56%Untitled

This was a close vote, but you managed to get it right in the end, with 56 per cent of you failing to fall for the hype. No Man's Sky never appeared at Sony's press conference, so the wait for a confirmed release date continues.

Will No Man's Sky PlayStation VR support be announced at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 67% No: 33%

No Man's Sky didn't show its face at Sony's press conference, so there was no VR announcement despite the PlayStation 4 peripheral playing a part in the show. 67 per cent of you gambled on yes and lost.

Will PlayStation VR get a confirmed release date and/or pricing structure at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 46% No: 54%Untitled

Another close one, but again, you lot just scraped the win. PlayStation VR did nab a lengthy segment at Sony's presser - which included a disastrous tech demo presentation - but there was no mention of a release date and/or pricing structure.

Will Destiny's next expansion be revealed at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 43% No: 57%Untitled

This was a tough question, but you got it right. Destiny did indeed show up at Sony's conference, but it was only to announce a holiday sparrow racing event, and not the title's next expansion.

Will Yakuza 5 be released on the PlayStation Network during Sony's PlayStation Experience press conference?

Yes: 34% No: 66%Untitled

It's a good job that 66 per cent of you are cynics, because your refusal to believe has earned you another win - but only just. Yakuza 5 did actually get a launch date at the press conference, but it wasn't released during the event. Sony's Gio Corsi even made a joke about it not being made available during the show.

Will The Last Guardian get a confirmed release date at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 30% No: 70%Untitled

The cynics are really earning you some points right now. The Last Guardian didn't even show up at Sony's presser, so any hope for a hint of a release date was nowhere to be found. Let's pray that the game isn't as elusive in 2016.

Will Sony spend three or more minutes talking specifically about Vita?

Yes: 30% No: 70%Untitled

No chance. Vita struggled to get a mention at the best of times, so any sort of dedicated segment was a mere fantasy. No doubt a disappointment for handheld enthusiasts, but a huge 70 per cent of you got this one right.

Will Resident Evil 7 be announced at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 25% No: 75%Untitled

We admit that this question was meant to be a bit of a curveball, but most of you didn't buy into the hype. Capcom did appear in the form of Yoshinori Ono to talk about Street Fighter V, but there was no sign of Resident Evil's shambling figure.

Will Final Fantasy XV finally get a confirmed release date at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 28% No: 72%Untitled

Final Fantasy XV didn't even show up during Sony's conference, so there was no chance of a release date. You naysayers are on a bit of a winning streak right now, but can you keep it up?

Will the Final Fantasy VII remaster be released on the PlayStation Network during the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 54% No: 46%Untitled

Not bad, not bad at all. You lot got this one spot on, as the PlayStation 4 port of Final Fantasy VII was indeed released on the PlayStation Network during Sony's presser. 54 per cent of you just about sealed the win this time around.

Will Final Fantasy VII Remake show up at the PlayStation Experience in any capacity?

Yes: 63% No: 37%Untitled

Your faith has been rewarded with yet another point. Final Fantasy VII Remake didn't just show up - it got a whole new gameplay trailer, complete with awkward English dubbing. Well done, everyone.

Will Mark Cerny appear on stage at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 48% No: 52%Untitled

This turned out to be an incredibly close call, but you nailed it. Mark Cerny didn't appear on stage, meaning that we missed out yet again on his soothing voice and our first look at Knack 2: Knackered.

Will Shawn Layden once again rock a jumper on stage at the PlayStation Experience?

Yes: 57% No: 43%Untitled

This was a tough one, but we're going to give you the point. Shawn Layden strutted on stage wearing a Crash Bandicoot t-shirt, but if you look closely enough, you can see that it's actually worn on top of a jumper. Phew.

Will Crash Bandicoot be mentioned in any capacity at Sony's PlayStation Experience press conference?

Yes: 35% No: 65%Untitled

This one has caused us all kinds of trouble. Yes, Shawn Layden was wearing a Crash Bandicoot t-shirt, but we worded the question in a specific way. As far as we're concerned, a t-shirt isn't a 'mention', it's a 'reference' - so you lot were bang on the money.

Final Score

After a very rocky start, you've actually done incredibly well; the PlayStation Experience was Sony's fourth major press conference of the year, so it was never going to be easy to predict. Sure, you came pretty close to getting a few more predictions wrong, but it's the final figure that counts. Very well done, everyone - you've beaten your E3 2015 score.

14/20
