Ah, CD Projekt Red. When you're not giving us free downloadable content and providing outrageously good expansions for low prices, you're praising other developers for their hard work - and it's quite heart-warming to see.

What we often forget is that the people who make games tend to be a a lot like us - they, you know, play games. The Polish studio's senior technical artist, José Teixeira, has told GameReactor that Bethesda's titles usually have a big impact on the development team, with Fallout 4's recent release leading to "a lot of 'colds' in the studio during the launch week".

"Bethesda makes absolutely great games, no doubt about that, and everything they do serves as inspiration for us, although we hope that the opposite is also true," Teixeira said. "Here in the studio we are all major gamers, and although each one has their preferences, almost everyone loves RPGs. I think this rivalry between the two studios ultimately benefits both the players, and the studios themselves, forcing us to always do better," he added.

You can't really ask for a better attitude than that, can you? Did you pull a few sick days to play Fallout 4 when it launched? Do you prefer The Witcher 3 over Bethesda's titles? Feel free to role-play in the comments section below.
