As you'd expect of an Omega Force developed Warriors title, Arslan: The Warriors of Legend is going to be stuffed with characters from the source material - and the game's newest English trailer shows a bunch of them off.
We have to say, we're particularly liking the look of the visuals in this one, which seem to capture the feel of the recent redrawn manga quite well. And, being the focus of this video, the included characters appear especially pretty.

I always quite like character trailers. Gets me thinking about who I'd maybe like to play as.
I've tried the Japan demo and I didn't like it. :/ Granted that I didn't understood what some of the prompts were saying but still I thought DQH felt better gameplay wise. I couldn't figure out if there was lock-on button as well, which made it a bit difficult when my character was on a horse trying to kill one particular target.
@WanderingBullet
Sounds to me like that was more or less down to just the language barrier.
I think to make a fair assessment, one needs to at the very least understand the controls.
@JaxonH @WanderingBullet It's the main reason we always hold back on doing import reviews. Sure, you can get by some Japanese games with limited knowledge and maybe a translation guide, but it's just not the same as playing a game in your native language.
I always think it's a bit unfair to review imported games if the writer isn't fluent in the language as a result.
@JaxonH @ShogunRok: True but the prompts did showed what buttons you should press it just that it had a bunch of text along with it. Anyways, I wouldn't mind if they release English demo so I could give it another go.
Btw, this is full hack and slash game, right? I bought DQH because it had some RPG elements in it...
@WanderingBullet All the Warriors games have experience points, levelling, equipment that you find or buy, stats, stat boosts etc. With DQH it was more about how they phrased it all, so instead of your "Musou attacks" you had "Spells". Instead of customising your weapon to give yourself different abilities, you unlocked skills with points you got from levelling up. Things like that.
I think this is more like Bladestorm than the usual Warriors games, meaning it's more overtly tactical and has you controlling an entire squad at once, like a load of troops move with your character as a single unit.
@Matroska Thanks, I might download the Bladestorm demo and give that a try.
