Contrary to often popular opinion, Warriors titles aren't strictly button mashers. Alongside their hack and slash action, all of Omega Force's properties feature numerous role-playing game elements, and Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below is no different.
Such mechanics are a snug fit for the spin-off, since Square Enix's stellar series is one of the biggest RPG franchises in existence. You can get a good look at many of these elements in the video that we've embedded, in which the publisher talks us through the various ways that you can develop your party of playable characters. Whether it's crafting new gear with alchemy or applying straightforward buffs to your fighters with the skill system, it seems as though there's plenty of content to get stuck into.
Can you see yourself maxing out your party when the game launches next week? Pump some skill points into the comments section below.

If I hadn't already spent $100 each on XCX and Skylanders Superchargers Dark Wii U ed for this Christmas...
Well one good thing about the PS4 price drop, I doubt it will drop back up. And since I rarely play online this will still be great next Christmas, at half the price. Man I'm going to have such a backlog of PS4 games before I even get a PS4.
Really want to try this, but MUCH more interested in DQ11. May give it a shot, but with Fallout so close I don't want to get to deep into a game right now that I probably wont be able to finish before fallout launches.
Man... looking good. I definitely need this.
I pre-ordered it a while ago. I've said this before, but it's just a shame it's coming out on the same day as Tales of Zestiria.
I have the limited edition preordered. Really looking forward to playing this.
@Matroska Yep i couldn't choose so i bought both collector editions.
