Ready to get into training for this year's FIFA, are you? Well you're in luck if so, because FIFA 16's playable demo is now available on the PlayStation 4. Weighing in at a hefty 4.6GB, you probably won't be taking the new model out for a spin straight after work, but at least you'll be sorted for an evening of footy fun.
There are twelve teams to get to grips with in this year's demo, including the likes of Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Real Madrid. What's more, you'll also be able to sample the newly included women's national teams, as current world champions the United States are playable alongside Germany.
The icing on the cake, though, is that the demo allows you to try out FIFA 16's new Ultimate Team Draft, although it's worth mentioning that it's only playable offline here.

And PS3.
I might check it out, I picked up FIFA 14 a few weeks ago and besides the inclusion of the woman's teams I don't see a need for this one but it's a free demo so I will at least check that out.
Nice to see MLS fans get some love with the inclusion of Seattle Sounders and their home stadium! I'll definitely give the demo a try this evening.
Quite enjoying FUT Draft at the moment, it's basically Madden's Draft Champions which is nice
The Fifa demo they put out is great. Get to play the game without paying for ultimate waste of team. Especially with Barca, Real, PSG, City and Chelsea that's pretty much the teams everyone picks apart from Bayern, Arsenal and Utd so its all good.
Skipping Fifa this year, great game though.
The gameplay still feels very similar to 15 though.
Nice. Will be downloading this later.
No thanks, I'll pass on the roster update.
I'll be playing this tonight. PES 2016 was beautiful so be interesting to see how this stands up
@TropicThndrQuote really? What about the women's gameplay?
@TropicThndrQuote really? What about the passing and defenders actually being useful and playing. It's still broken gameplay but its worlds above last year because you can't just sprint past everyone.
@icarusdreams I agree with the defending, your team seems to defend more as a unit, but you've always been able to defend offline. Usually in my experience I rarely concede in single player and seasons but when it comes to FUT my defenders run of like tw*ts haha, could be my choice of players though. Oh and the dribbling is slightly improved, once you get used to it that is.
@KAPADO Doesn't seem much different. Except they felt slower. Could be my choice of team and I only played one women's match.
@themcnoisy United and Arsenal? Haven't seen anyone on the last few FIFAs play as those two, or Chelsea and City to be fair. Only two English teams I ever see are us (Liverpool) and West Ham.
@rastamadeus knew that would get a bite
Liverpool... Lovren has to go, Mignolet looks shaky as well this season. Firminho looks good and will get better.
When does the demo go up. It's apparently only up for New Zealand currently
Wow. Play this and then play PES 2016.
I love the FIFA presentation etc, but PES has the gameplay OWNED this year. If only PES could sort out the razzmatazz and licences. It would simply be the best footy game ever made.
@bman2112 Are you being serious? I thought the PES demo looked like a PS2 game haha.
No way Pedro!
In all seriousness....play the demos back to back. It's laughable how poor FIFA is in terms of player movement and the basics. Like I said, you can't fault the presentation and I'm a real sucker for that..... I might get both, but PES plays the game better.
Do either the PES or FIFA demos have the tutorial in?
@bman2112
maybe... but PES doesn't have any Women teams so FIFA is an automatic win in my book. Might even make me buy a football game for the first time in my life.
*edit: I'll take it back if PES does in fact include Women Teams.
@bman2112 Saying that, I haven't played PES since Pes 2010 (favourite football game) I really enjoyed that because I could play as a licenced Liverpool and the gameplay was great, aswell as the become a legend. But I just can't get over the presentation/ licence problem with Pes. I might try the demo again because I wasn't used to pes buttons.
No rocket powered cars... no sale.
Played both the demos, I preferred how the controls felt on PES2016 but FIFA16's better when it comes to presentation.
