Assassin's Creed is an absolutely colossal brand these days, so of course there's a movie in the works. Prometheus thesp Michael Fassbender was signed up what feels like an eternity ago to front the flick, and here's a first glimpse of him kitted out with hoods and hidden knives. The film will begin shooting next week, but unlike Prince of Persia, there'll be no Gemma Arterton this time. Sad emoji.
French actress Marion Cotillard of The Dark Knight Rises fame and 12 Years a Slave star Michael Kenneth Williams will feature instead, with a 21st December 2016 release date touted. The movie's being produced in collaboration between Ubisoft, New Regency, and Warner Bros, and will depict the memories of Aguilar, a 15th Century Spanish assassin.
It's said that the story will play in to the franchise's existing universe, so common sense would suggest that next year's instalment will be set in España. What do you think of Fassbender's outfit? Do you think that this film's going to deliver? Pull up your hood and let us know in the comments section below.

I have a feeling the accent will be off
I wonder if he falls through/gets stuck in the scenery
AC's strengths were mostly in its cutscenes and promotional trailers, so I hope that translates well!
Not sure how I feel about an AC flick, but the costume looks nice at least.
Hope it's more like AC 1 than the later games.
I'm honestly dissapointed. I was hoping they'd make a movie from AC1. AC1 has the best story out of the AC games I've played, and it just seems like the best place to start with for making a live-action AC movie. This honestly killed a lot of my interest in the live-action AC movie. Way to Ubisoft, mess up AC even with the movie.
@Jaz007 Come on its a movie based on a game of course they are going to mess it up.
I am beginning to think that the 11th commandment is Every movie based of a game shall be bad.
I have zero hope for video game movies at this point
I say it'll be better than Fantastic Four but worse than Citizen Kane.
