Run for your life

Mirror's Edge Catalyst was treated to a little more attention during EA's big Gamescom 2015 press conference this morning than it got at E3 2015, with a full gameplay demo showing various aspects from the February free running foray. In it, we saw protagonist Faith infiltrate a skyscraper, irritate an Andrew Wilson look-a-like, and leg it amid gunfire.

Perhaps the most impressive thing is just how clean everything looks; technical limitations held back developer DICE's intended artstyle on the PlayStation 3, but the PlayStation 4 appears to be bringing its concept art to life at last. We're pleased to see the lack of firearms, too; Faith must use her body to get beyond guards, and not her trigger finger. Hooray!
