Star Wars Battlefront will be playable in the UK for the first time ever at this year's EGX, it's been announced. In fact, EA Games will be bringing a wad of titles to the Birmingham-based event, including Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Need for Speed, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. Not a bad lineup, eh?
Assuming that you're willing to queue for approximately 3,000 hours, you'll be able to engage in 40-player match ups in DICE's forthcoming intergalactic foray. FIFA 16 will also be playable at the show, but you'll need to venture into the Xbox booth to get your hands on that. Yeah, we feel dirty just thinking about it.
Still, if you fancy attending, the show's set to run from 24th September to 27th September at the NEC. We'll be there flaunting our slightly out-of-date Push Square branded t-shirts, so make sure that you say hello if you spot us. We should also point out that we're part of the Gamer Network, so feel free to disregard everything that you just read as a thinly veiled commercial.

I was considering heading to this - nearly made a forum post the other day to see if anyone else was going - but it really depends on finances. Going on holiday at the start of Oct and need to save myself some spending money out of next month's pay! Also it's a massive trek for me, nearly 3 hours travel each way on the trains :/
will morpheus be playable here does anybody know?
@baldybill Not confirmed yet, I don't think.
If only egx was still located in London I'd go on a whim but not trekking it to Birmingham just to play some games for 2/3 hrs.
i think its about time us in brum had more games related events. i still live in hope E3 will be hosted in birmingham one day
You guys planning on doing another video like you did last year?
why do I have this odd feeling this game isn't going to be as great as they're trying to make it sound, maybe because DICE is involved or something?
