Ah, good old Peter Moore. The EA executive is always throwing out some great quotes, and speaking with GameSpot, he's now commented on the supposedly sour relationship between Hideo Kojima and Konami. "I just think both of them should kiss and make up," he joked.
In a more serious manner, Moore goes on to say that "from my experience, and I've spent a lot of time working in Japan, I think that Konami and Kojima will figure it out. Those kinds of business relationships [in Japan] are typically for life, and Kojima is such an important part in what has gone on there."
We're not too sure if Moore's somewhat positive outlook is truly indicative of what's happened between the two parties, but it's an interesting point of view nonetheless. He concludes: "Clearly, they're at a rocky stage in their marriage. But you could take what is said about [Kojima Productions], about a game not adhering to budgets, about a game not being ready, and you could apply that to a lot of people…they'll kiss and make up. They'll be fine."
Do you think that Kojima and Konami will ever put aside their differences and work together again once Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is on store shelves? Give us some quotes of your own in the comments section below.

Push Square is fast becoming the premier Peter Moore fansite on the web.
As for the specific topic, I feel pretty negatively about it. The whole thing seems incredibly weird to me. I think we'll have to wait and see what Kojima and the other employees say about it all when they're finally allowed to sometime after MGSV releases, though.
I'd like to think things will work out but for whatever reason I doubt it. Hopefully Sony or MS get him and his team on board. He could try to go the indie route and makes games for everybody, which would be great, but the problem there is he seems to love making big-budgeted games. Good luck doing that without having the backing of a big publisher. Kojima and Bethesda would be highly interesting. I'd love to see that.
All we know is Kojima appears to be leaving Konami, the rest is complete speculation.
Peter says Moore bla bla. Except what may have actually happened is Kojima has gone on a secret mission to Mars where he's building the super next gen PlayStation 5 at the planet's core.
Did you guys do a news story about Rollcage on PS4 yet?
If I ever make a movie about Satan, I'm hiring that guy as the star.
Why would Kojima go back? He's probably already had a dozen offers at double his salary. Time to move on.
@rjejr
Kojima would be insane to go back. Beyond what Konami has done, they are even moving away from console gaming, Kojima's bread and butter, so unless he is willing to do MGS Mobile, then it makes no sense.
Agreed about the satan casting.
@rjejr LOL now that you mention it, he'd make an amazing satan!
@sinalefa @rjejr he'd probably want your soul as payment for taking the role.
@Sir_JBizzle - Nice one.
Yawn, the relationship is over. Nothing more to say
If they get back together, what are they gonna do? Konami have made it clear they're focusing on casual mobile experiences primarily - I for one have no interest in playing Flappy Sna...er, never mind.
If only bad marriages COULD be solved by kisses. It's more like he's in a abusive relationship, he shouldn't go back.
I'm personally looking forward to swiping Snake into a box on my phone
@rjejr
Ah man, I'm imagining him in red spandex with horns and a pitchfork....
Yep. Can definitely see it
Keep on dreaming...
@JaxonH Jax man, my kids are home from school for summer and they are always on the 1 PC I use for email. I think I owe you many replies, sorry. I saw you on th eWii U last night playing Fire MEblem but couldn't figure out how to message. They really need an IM app. I even considered Vid chat, but not seriously.
There's the stuff with honor and whatnot in Japan, so I somewhat doubt that.
@rjejr
I should say likewise, lot of your comments I mean to reply to but don't, for whatever reason.
Ya man I love that Fire Emblem. There's 3 stories in the original FE on GBA. I finished Lynn's story, and am on Chapter 26 of Eliwood's story. Actually like next to final chapter for his story, and it just got REALLY good. The difficulty shot through the roof a few chapters ago and I'm loving the seriously tough maps. Glad I bought both the PRIMA guide and Nintendo Power guide for the game- cause it really takes both their info combined to really be prepared.
You ever dive into Awakening or no...
@JaxonH - You ever dive into Awakening or no...
No, never got the 3DS for my birthday, I was afraid it would be a repeat of my Wii U purchase when Ntinedo - after spending about 8 months saying they would not lower the price before Christmas, lowered the price $50 a week after I bought it. And announced that cool WW HD bundle. I so would have bought that. So I'm waiting for a new 3DS XL for $150. System has a been $200 since it launched about 3 years ago. And "new" or not, the bulk of the tech is 4 years old from when 3DS launched. Anyway at this point I think I'm saving my birthday money for a PS4. There isn't much right now on it I want to play - though Witcher 3 is becoming - but the future is looking pretty good.
So, that was pretty long for a yes no question, huh?
@rjejr
GameStop is selling refurbished OG models and XL's for $80 and $100 respectively (after $40 mail in rebate). They have almost every LE to date too- Fire Emblem, Smash, Pokemon, Pikachu, Yoshi, SMB2, Dream Team, Animal Crossing, Persona Q...
Granted you'd want to snatch a CPP too if you planned on any MH4U. But that's a good deal any way you slice it.
@JaxonH Thanks for that. Giving it some thought. Still not sure about buying a used older model but for effectively $100 it's certainly something to think about.
