There are times this month where your humble host has considered quitting his role as Push Square editor and training to become a professional Rocket League player instead. However, getting squashed 8-0 over and over again has put paid to those plans. Still, we're all really big fans of Psyonix's soccer adaptation here in the office, and so we're looking forward to the title's forthcoming DLC drops.
And here's the first free stadium: Utopia Coliseum. A resplendent Roman-inspired arena, this pitch is surrounded by marble architecture, green gardens, and beautiful fountains. It's actually a lot different to the existing grounds in the game, so should add a bit of visual variety to proceedings. There are also a couple of extra cars in the works, but you'll have to pay for those. The developer deserves a few quid, though, right?

Such an awesome game, don't remember having so much fun playing a game in a long time. Single player adventures just don't offer pure shots of clean fun delivered straight to your bloodstream like this one does (they obviously offer something else and I love them for that!). What is great is still being able to win against those more experienced players no matter your level. Can't wait to go back home and play some more, I may even buy a DLC to show support.
I only played it for maybe an hour or two but it was plenty fun, standard 4v4 was my choice, I'd like to see maybe slightly larger map and 6v6, I'd pay for that.
I like 2v2 the best. I think that's the best balance of defence and offence - you have to really pick your moments otherwise you'll get punished.

@get2sammyb I've played that last night for the first time, it was fun and indeed more tactical but a little bit more hectic 3v3 is more my thing. Yet to try 4v4, can't imagine now what that must be like!
Total Rocket League addiction in our household... except for youngest son who has a XBO and just looks longingly at the PS4 rocking such a wonderful game! Love it so much will be taking it on the road as the exhibition attraction for my college's booth this summer!
Also loving it too , I wonder if they ever toyed with the idea of power-ups like lasers or maybe oil to squirt out the back (you know the kind of thing), maybe it just didn't work .
I love this game. Trying to get the platinum. The 3v3 mode is my favorite.
@MinerWilly They announced that there would not be any power-ups. Honestly, I think this is a good thing. The game is solid as is, and if you need to take an opponent out, a precisely directed boost will do the trick.
@lacerz I too love it as it is but I wondered if perhaps it'll be part of their DLC ideas because not sure how appealing new paid for tracks or hats would be . They deserve some of my money though for such a great game.

I am loving this game. It's definitely on my top free PS+ games. Right now I am playing through a season and starting off slow currently 2-2 standings but each game I play I feel I am getting better and better. This is also one of the games I love using Spotify with.
The games great but I have a boss game and then next game my concentration goes and I keep missing the ball.
I would like to see the ball rebound differently on the next courses. Maybe have a canoe shaped course or a star shaped course 5v5 if a goal goes in your out.
I prefer 2v2 or 3v3 - at 4v4 your team mates constantly wack into you.
