Pour one out for Sammy B

Here in the UK, we're currently still enduring a rather sweaty heatwave. Now before you start, yes, we realise that other, generally more sunny countries deal with heat like this on a regular basis, but we Brits just aren't used to it, as evidenced by everyone walking around in public without their shirts on - the dirty buggers. Still, at least editor Sammy Barker picked a good week to take a holiday, eh? Anyway, let's get on with this - what are you playing this weekend?

Robert Ramsey, Associate Editor

With my reign of tyranny almost over, it's all but time to revert back to my role as second in command. Sammy's return means that I might actually get to play some games rather than write about them, so hopefully I can make real progress in the ongoing saga of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. That is, if the Push Square staff don't pitchfork me for my brutal leadership beforehand.

Ben Potter, Video Editor

I'll be trying to play Batman: Arkham Knight's tank missions without punching the wall in frustration again. Yes I'm playing on hard, but that's not the point. It's all Rocksteady's fault. Completely. Shut up. I'll punch you.

Kell Andersen, Senior Writer

This weekend will see me attempting to finally begin The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt after an alarming number of false starts. I also need to finish the third chapter of Life is Strange before the next episode launches in a week or two. No rest for the wicked, and all that.

I not only missed on the full ending by diving my way through a standard completion of Batman: Arkham Knight's main story, but by overlooking the Most Wanted missions I glided past some intriguing rogue encounters, too. I understand now why Sefton Hill from Rocksteady Studios described the Most Wanted segments as more than side stories, because they establish a number of super-villains with their own separate narrative arc.

While it may be July 4th weekend, I will be hunting down the Arkham Knight and doing my best to save Gotham. Other than that... well, that's about the only game I plan to focus my time on. It really is a stunning release, and Rocksteady hasn't disappointed

This weekend I'll be reviewing the ever witty and smart game that is Pneuma: Breath of Life, while also catching up on some Witcher 3, because I'm apparently the only person in the world who didn't play it for 300 hours as soon as it launched [Ya damn right - Ed.]

Now that I've returned from my delightful holiday in the sun, this weekend will be all about Arkham Knight. I can't wait to get sucked back into this series - it has yet to fail on its 'Be The Bat' premise and the atmosphere is always on point. Lights off, sound up, see you Monday.
