Resident Evil Revelations 2 PS Vita PlayStation

Capcom's surprisingly good Resident Evil Revelations 2 will take aim at the PlayStation Vita on 18th August in Europe and North America, where it will launch digitally via the PlayStation Store. The port – handled by Frima Studio – will include all of the main episodes from the console release, in addition to the survival-based The Struggle and stealth-based Little Miss chapters.

Raid Mode will make a return as well, where favourites HUNK and Albert Wesker will be available as playable characters. Seeing as this is launching a little later on the Japanese giant's portable appliance, you'll be getting the throwback map pack and multiple storage expansions for your various weapons and loot, too. You'll also be nabbing a costume pack for good measure.

The game will support co-op via the PlayStation Network, and an ad-hoc multiplayer mode will be added as part of an update a little later down the line. Of course, the big question mark hanging over this will be whether the developer can get it running smoothly on Sony's pocketable platform. The first footage in the trailer looks reasonable enough, but the proof will be in the putrefying pudding, eh?
