Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below, a game with arguably the silliest name in the history of the medium, will apparently be sticking very close to its Dragon Hero roots. Indeed, recent interviews with some of the title's higher ups have revealed that it will be more reminiscent of an ARPG than a traditional action game.

"What we tried to do in Dragon Quest Heroes, we didn't make it as a Musou game as the Dynasty Warriors games, it's pretty much like a Dragon Quest game instead," series producer Ryota Aomi said. "It's kinda about avoiding making an action game, so it does not become a Musou game."

While this does sound like an interesting idea, the proof will be in the pudding, as the the footage we've already seen looks an awful like a Warriors game to us.
