If you find yourself constantly on the lookout for new footage of No Man's Sky, this new slice of gameplay may keep your hype levels raised just that little bit longer. It's a short one, but it's undeniably sweet, as the video combines some lovely music with plenty of typically pretty intergalactic exploration.
It's actually quite impressive how much the clip manages to cram into its relatively tiny running time, but we suppose that just goes to show the benefits of a procedurally generated game. As always, the message here is that discovery is a core concept of the title, and that there's an infinite number of worlds out there for you to stumble across.
What we haven't found yet, though, is a release date. Are you still hoping that it'll hit the PlayStation 4 before the year's out, or are you certain of a 2016 launch at this point? Crash land into the comments section below.

My only concern with NMS is the potential lack of interaction with other players or NPC's. I realise you can trade, but, i get the impression that this will be purely system based rather than visiting an actual store/trader. It would also be great if you could explore some of the ruins that have been shown in various demo's to get an idea of an extinct race from 1000's of years ago. I'm not saying it'll be boring, because how can being able to tour the entire universe be boring, it just might starting feeling somewhat lonely without speaking to another being for light-years at a time!!!
Is the mystery of what the game is about part of its marketing strategy? I have been following the game so i'm aware of all the details that the developers have given but for anyone solely watching the trailers they would be none the wiser about what the game is actually about.
I'm really afraid that this hype train will crash, the way the order did. Here is hoping it doesn't!
Stop torturing me Shawn Murray! I want to play this game! But seriously, I think they are just wanting to make sure everything works as it should. I have feeling that it will be Q1 2016, but we might still hear something from Gamescom. Either way, I'm a happy passenger on the hype train.
@stupidget They have said that they consider patching in features post release if enough people want it, such as creating buildings and forming parties with your friends.
@eLarkos I think Hello Games are wanting to keep some things a mystery because the sense of discovery is what there going for but at the same time they have said that they won't oversell it, making people think it's one thing when it's not. To be fair most of the hype has been generated by the media and gamers rather then anything they've done.

Kinda how I feel about the game in some ways. Point 1 that is, the rest are just about him ranting. But whatever it ends up being it's clearly going to be worth a go. Even if it's just to enjoy landing and taking off again!
@adf86 I was hoping that would be the case. I suppose building an entire universe can be quite time consuming and expecting a game of this magnitude to have everything that I personally want is being slightly greedy .
Hopefully a later patch will contain alien strip joints with 3-titted ladies!!!
@stupidget Oh yes, what film have you been watching?
Put this out of your mind, try not to have too high an expectation for it. That way, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you eventually come to play it. Maybe.
Lol it baffles me how many sites just pick up news that actually isn't news from another site and run with it. This trailer is a year old.

@mitcHELLspawn Says it all about the game, to be honest. Can't even remember what's new and what's not.
I just want this to come out already. I've seen enough
Im convinced that No Man's Sky will be delayed until 2016 and release alongside Sony's new VR headset, Project Morpheus. From Sony's point of view (no pun intended) Project Morpheus is a very hard peripheral to sell without being able to try before you buy. Its a very hard experience to explain to someone whose never tried it for themselves.
So packaging No Man's Sky and Project Morpheus together seems like a perfect fit.
Imagine having a device (VR) that transports you to new worlds (No Man's Sky) seems like a great way to sell Project Morpheus to people unsure about the tech, aspecially with the hype No Man's Sky has surrounding it.
Edit- I just noticed that at 58 seconds in the video you see a view through the right side cockpit window. This could just be someone holding right on the analogue stick, or, it could be someone playing No Man's Sky whlist using a VR headset.
Their is a video of the developers at Hello Games on the web and in the video you can clearly see the Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift being played around with by the team.
As much as I want No Man's Sky right now, I am definitely happy to wait if its going to be compatible with and packaged with Project Morpheus. I would also imagine that you would be able to play No Man's Sky without the need of Sony's new peripheral.
Its gonna be great, after playing the horrendous planetside 2 I hope the graphics aren't as ugly, but genuinely excited for this one.
