Still not sure about cashing in your red orbs for God of War III Remastered? We can't say we blame you - the game was a big hit back in 2010, and so it's very likely that you've already played it. But while we're not going to try and sway anyone to spend their money on a particular title, Digital Foundry does have a nice little comparison video to help those who are on the fence.
Just like we said in our review, the difference is big enough to make this the definitive version of Santa Monica Studios' bloody brawler. But you'll only want to invest in it if you've never played it before. Have a look and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Sony please bring god of war 1, 2, chains of Olympus, ghost of sparta remake and ascension remaster to ps4 too. Bloody Big fan of the franchise and i want to try every game on my ps4 fully remastered and remaked in ascension engine.
Digital Foundry seem to think it's one of the best remasters on the PS4, & I would have to agree.
Just waiting for that price drop
I can now see why they used the Hades fight to show off God Of War 3 before it got released, simply put it's stunning. I am amazed at the graphic level of God of War 3 seeing as it's five years old game, the level of detail was always there on the PS3 version but now stands right out on the PS4.The 60fps is rock solid even with a screen full of enemies, and thats with you going nuts on them. & being a massive God Of War fan, it feels just as epic to play as it did when it first released.
I don't see a difference in the quality of the game! Only the frame rate remains at a constant 60fps which makes the gameplay much more fluid but other then that the difference between them is very small. Not worth the money imo, instead of bringing this they should have made a new GoW and brought that out!
You could get so much more value out of buying Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.
For cheaper too.
@BoltedArc I think they're working on GOW4. I agree about their being no real difference between the two. To be fair, their isn't enough of a difference between the frame rate either. Yeah the PS4 version stays at 60fps but its not like the PS3 version was chugging along. It was as high as 55fps and as low as 34fps in places. Certainly not worth a re purchase. Definitely worth picking up as a first time purchase though.
So slightly prettier graphics and faster frame rate is suppose to justify buying a game you can buy for PS3 for like $7-8 and buy it on PS4 for $40? Yea, I'm a huge God of War fan, but I'll gladly wait for a price drop. I still say Sony should have released the whole God of War Saga remastered to justify the price.
I never played any GOW games until recently, I started to romp through 1 and 2 on my Vita and I bloody love it, so I'm sure I'll get III on the PS4 and whatever "remaster" or brand new game comes my way I'll gobble up. It's a nice silly, cinematic, violent action romp - just what I need (in short bursts) after a day of stupid customers...
The PS3 version looks fine, the PS4 'remaster'? Is a little more shiny, I guess its for all the new customers that didn't own PS3.
@WARDIE
Not much of a difference? the PS3 version is around 32fps during combat, where as the PS4 version is a rock solid 60fps. Its only on platform sections that the PS3 version hit 55fps for all of 1-2 seconds.
Wish game companies would start selling box sets similar to movies/tv. be nice to have a God of war collection of all 5 games rather than split up. Well they can't have my money until they do
@banacheck My point was, it wasn't worth a re purchase since watching them side by side the difference is negligible.
