In an announcement that we're sure has many of you jumping with joy, Odin Sphere is getting remade on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita. Originally a much loved and visually stunning PlayStation 2 action role-playing game, it's due out in its native Japan in January next year.
Entitled Odin Sphere: Leifdrasir, the game won't be a simple remaster of the 2007 release. Instead, it's having many of its gameplay systems tweaked - hopefully for the better. And, of course, it'll be getting the full HD treatment to boot.

Please, please come West.
@ShogunRok It definitely will.
Oh my stars.. major flashbacks! I had this game on my Japanese PS2.
Hopefully, the Western release will have that art book as well.
I'd love some classic Level 5 games to get the PS4 makeover. Dark Cloud/Chronicle, Rogue Galaxy, White Knight Chronicles, Dragon Quest VIII.
T'would be awesome.
Played Rogue Galaxy, Dragon Quest VIII and Ni no Kuni. Dragon Quest VIII and Ni no Kuni being my favorites out of the three mentioned. Not sure what the situation is currently with Studio Ghibli but they need to collaborate with Level-5 to make another game.
I played a little bit of this when I bought the PS2 download on my PS3, it was enjoyable and beautiful, so I'll look into getting this version
No idea, looks nice, vita perhaps.
@WanderingBullet @ApostateMage I would absolutely kill for Dark Cloud/Chronicle, DQVIII and Rogue Galaxy to get PS4/V remasters.
Yay something to play on my Vita at last! If it comes west that is...
Ya they better bring this west. With all the remasters they're bringing they can at least bring the few actually worth being remade.
I never played this game either so an NA release would be great
Guys ...It's Atlus. At this point all their stuff is guaranteed localizations
They should make an Atlus compilation. Dont have the time for any more old rpgs in my life but geez does the videos art direction look good.
If it'll be anything like the Muramasa Rebirth I will sell my soul for this game to be released in the west!
