Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 PS4 PlayStation 4

Robomodo's certainly talking a great game with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5, so it's a bit of a shame that the title currently looks so low-budget. Due out from 29th September on the PlayStation 4 – a PlayStation 3 version is due out at some point thereafter – the release aims to plot a return to the classic combos of the PSone titles of yore. Unfortunately, the production values still look like they're stuck in the 32-bit era, too.

But the developer is promising some more modern features. When you join skate sessions, you'll be accompanied by up to 20 other people online, as the title blends single player with multiplayer in a similar manner to Destiny or Need for Speed: Rivals. It's not entirely clear, but presumably you'll be able to challenge those strangers on the fly, lending the title some real replay value beyond the included objectives.

Moreover, as with previous entries, the release will come with a complete park editor, which will allow you to create your own custom layouts and share them online. It sounds decent on paper, then, so we're hoping that the studio can polish things up over the next couple of months. There's a new trailer below outlining all of the features and functionality of the forthcoming foray. By the way, how old does the Birdman look these days?
