Geralt

In the words of Geralt of Rivia: not bad. Unsurprisingly marking CD Projekt Red's most successful release, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sold four million copies during its first two weeks on the market.

The game's success may come as a bit of a shock to some, considering that the role-playing release perhaps isn't as mainstream as other blockbuster titles, but with a solid marketing campaign and more than a few incredibly positive reviews, the open world adventure has done very well for itself indeed.

The news comes via an open letter from the developer's co-founder, Martin Iwinski. In it, he wrote that "4 million RPG fans spending their hard-earned money on our game is a sign that we did something right, and you can be sure that we'll harness all that positive energy and make the upcoming expansions worthy of the grand adventure that you're telling us Wild Hunt already is!"

We reckon that Wild Hunt's success is a good sign, given that the title wasn't swamped in pre-order bonuses and day one downloadable content - not to mention that the Polish studio is still pumping out free DLC every week, too.
