After the release of Bloodborne earlier this year - as well as the recently announced Dark Souls III which is set to launch in early 2016 - some have expressed concern that From Software's distinctive brand of mega-difficult game might be releasing too often.
However, this fear seems to be unfounded, as the studio has recently announced that next year's entry will be the Dark Souls franchise's last. Indeed, speaking in a European press release, publisher Bandai Namco said "We are blessed to have such a supportive and loving community, and we are happy to dedicate this final episode to them!"
What do you make of this news? Are you happy to see the Dark Souls franchise put to rest, or do you never want to say goodbye to its specific brand of medieval horror? Kindle a bonfire in the comments section below.

Yeah, I expected this. I honestly thought From Software would stop at DS2, but one more is definitely okay with me! Hopefully we'll see some gameplay later on or during Sony's conference.
