Brutally difficult, fast paced platformer Super Meat Boy is finally coming to PlayStation systems later this year, developer Team Meat has revealed. Posting on the PlayStation Blog, the studio noted that it "felt their pain as PlayStation fans had to suffer for years without the greatest platformer ever made".
Meat Boy's bringing his irresistibly bloody charm to PS4 and Vita at some point in 2015, but the icing on the presumably very red cake is that the game's going to be free at launch for PlayStation Plus members. Hurrah!

Yay! Another good Vita game!
They sound annoyed in that PlayStation Blog post. I wonder what the nature of the original deal was. Games like Limbo came to PS3 eventually, for example...

@Wesker Yeah, that's a surprise, I didn't realise that. In that case then Sony was totally to blame in the first place - very strange call by them. I guess it was a different time, but like you say, PSN was always host to some really wacky stuff.

@rockman29 the thing is, they're not far off. It really is that good. Up there with Mario Galaxy and Rayman Legends.
I've had it on my Xbox for years but always thought it would have been a perfect game for on the go sessions by way of Vita - so this is great news. All the more so seeing as I don't have to pay.

@rockman29 The quote actually goes on a bit longer it says "greatest platformer ever made by two guys called Tommy and Edmund" just the article doesn't carry the whole quote.
I had this on xbox and really enjoyed it. Hard game too. Their is a video on Netflix about indie devs and the guys behing Super Meat boy are in it. They seem like ok guys.

Over hyped but came out at the perfect time with a perfect mechanic (die a lot) when indie games were just beginning to show what they can do. Good news its free at release as I wouldn't buy it again. Its over rated but still fun In a "I f'in pressed it at the f'in right f'in time you %#%&" kind of way.
Never played it but sounds like a challenge, i'm getting a bit fed up of indies recently like "oh i just spent a few hundred quid on the most powerful console to date.....lets play some 2d sidescrollers!!!"
But i will give every game a chance
How about a sequel? This is old.
