This week will be remembered as the one in which The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt fever set in. Associate editor Robert Ramsey has been uploading every video and image under the sun, and much to this author's amazement, you lot keep darn well clicking on them. Sony also sent a few ripples through the industry by announcing that it won't be holding a Gamescom press conference – but don't worry, it'll be dropping bombs at Paris Games Week instead.
Reviews
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - 7/10
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood has its fair share of problems – but it's still worth playing. With an enormous amount of content available for such a slender sum, fans of The New Order shouldn't hesitate when it comes to this alternate history treat.
Tropico 5 - 8/10
Tropico 5 is a real treat – and not just because it's something a little bit different. The game's sharp sense of humour tallies well with its accessible yet intricate economical action, and while it's always likely to be an acquired taste, we're hoping that it sparks a swell of console construction games. If you're even the slightest bit intrigued, you should give this a go. And just so that we're clear: that's an order.

Reaction: Sony's Decision to Skip Its Annual Gamescom Stage Show Is Sound
Seal the bunker: Sony's skipping Gamescom 2015. Well, not really – the organisation will still almost certainly occupy a spot on the Cologne show floor, but it'll be holding its annual European media briefing on 27th October at Paris Games Week instead. The misconception here – from what we've read around the web – is that the Japanese giant won't be hosting a media briefing at all, but it'll just be taking place a few months later in the year.
Feature: What Is Dragon Age: Inquisition's Free Black Emporium DLC Exactly?
Brrrr, the spooky Black Emporium is back in Dragon Age: Inquisition as free DLC this week. The location, which generally houses a bunch of rare items for you to buy, first appeared in Dragon Age II where it roughly offered the same services that it does now.

Final Fantasy XV Is Technically 9 Years Old Today
We know - we can hardly believe it either. Yes, Final Fantasy XV is nine years old today, at least technically. Square Enix's most anticipated project was first announced as Final Fantasy Versus XIII on this very day back in 2006.
You Can Download May's Free PlayStation Plus Games Right Now
Get that PlayStation 4 in rest mode - it's time to download your free PlayStation Plus games for May. This month's selection should be available now in North America and Europe, which includes Ether One, Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, The Unfinished Swan, Race the Sun, Hohokum, and Murasaki Baby.
Ex-EA Boss: Sony F***in' Nailed It with PS4
The so-called console clash is still very much ongoing, but some commentators are already starting to award the PlayStation 4 with victory. John Riccitiello, who's currently a chief at game engine Unity but previously was the big boss at Electronic Arts, is one such pundit, telling an audience at the GamesBeat Summit that the Japanese giant "f***ing nailed it" and "deserves the victory".
Rumour: Dishonored: Definitive Edition Sneaks Up on PS4
Arkane Studios' stealth-'em-up Dishonored was an outstanding game, but we could probably do without a PlayStation 4 remaster. Still, we suppose that Bethesda was never going to be able to resist the re-release money sitting on the table, and so a Brazilian ratings board has seemingly leaked an updated edition of the Dunwall infiltrating escapade.

Guess who got the Bloodborne Platinum Trophy? Here's a hint: he's handsome, loves Taylor Swift, and works for Push Square. Oh God, no – it wasn't darn well Sammy. It was actually me, but as a result of that case of mistaken identity, I'm going to sulk for the remainder of this pre-amble. Watch the video if you like... Whatever. (Please watch the video.)
