Okay, put down the pitchforks - it turns out that the post on the official The Elder Scrolls Online forums, which stated that you'd be unable to trade in your copy of the game, isn't correct. Bethesda's had to step in, and has told Videogamer that "the physical console version of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited does not require a one-time game code, as with any other boxed PS4 / Xbox One game only the game disc is needed for verification." That settles it, then.
The massively multiplayer online title was on the receiving end of hateful barrages earlier today when news broke that the release would come with a one-time code, which, when used, would allow you to get past the initial login screen. Let's hope that the misinformation hasn't damaged interest in the game too much, eh?
Set to launch next month, are you going to be journeying across Tamriel in search of fame and glory? Breathe a sigh of relief in the comments section below.

Either way this game is sh***y =).
I'd get this game if it wasn't online-only. The only thing that I hate about online-only, is when the servers are shut down (usually a few years after the game launches), you have a game you can't play.
Ok, buying this when its 5 euros used
Good, so I can still play it VIA Gamefly.
I can't wait it's gunna be awsome, i've been waiting for this since launch
@JLPick by then, we'll have Fallout 4 to play 😅
This is one online-only game I actually might end up getting
I had access to the ESO beta and as it goes I thought it was a lot better than I was expecting. Trouble is I'll have The Witcher 3 and Batman Arkum Knight so I can't see me playing ESO much if at all. Those other two games are way better imo
