It's another rather sad story of studio closure today, as Spark Unlimited, the developer behind the uninspired but solid Lost Planet 3 and the critically panned Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, has shut up shop. The studio told Polygon that some of its team "have decided to move on to other things". Spark Unlimited was working on a free-to-play title, among other projects, before they were cancelled, and the business was shuttered.

As always, it's upsetting to see a developer forced from the industry due to financial woes, and we wish the best for those affected by the closure.
