Square Enix must have quite a bit of upcoming content on its plate. The Japanese publisher's already confirmed that it's going to have an E3 2015 press conference, which is likely to include the likes of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, but it's apparently also planning on announcing several new titles at the Los Angeles event as well.
According to the company's latest results briefing, which outlines the publisher's future plans, we can expect a pretty packed presentation from a firm that's got plenty of stuff to show off over the next year or so. We wouldn't like to put money on what Square Enix is going to push out on stage next month, but what would you like to see? Be as outlandish as you like in the comments section below - and no, don't even mention a Final Fantasy VII remake. Oh, whoops.

Sorry, nothing will make up for RoTR as far as I'm concerned, SellOutEnix lost me in August and that doesn't look like it'll change for a good while.
Honestly I dont remember when was the last time enjoyed a Square Enix game, with the only exception of Sleeping Dogs.
I would love to see some sequels to games like Secret of Mana, Chrono Chross, Parasite Eve and many more, but I am afraid that they wont be as good as they used to be.
@Melucine secret of mana is one of my favs, but every sequel after it has been super disappointing (besides seiken 3). So I don't trust them to do right by the series.
Kingdom hearts would be huge but I'm assuming not.
Better be a star ocean annocement
@ztpayne7
Indeed I loved it so much that I even had the alternative spells! But the rest where not that good
Tbh I forgot about KH3, I think it will be great if we see some marvel and star wars into it!
Need that FF7 PS4 release date please! Wanna play it on the big screen with slightly fewer pixels! (I'm being serious!)
FFXV comes out 8/25. Now that would be a good suprise.
Just release FF15 and KH3 so everyone can move on with their lives. Screw FF7 remakes.
@Melucine Yeah. I work at a Thrift store and we just got a complete in box copy of Secret of Mana and it gave me memories. I feel like Star Wars is a given considering the light and dark themes - unless it was too far in development for that.
@Jaz007 bahahahahahhahaaha.
I would comment on how amazing that would be, but laughing makes the pain go away. Or did I learn that from Tidus?
@kyleforrester87 wouldn't it be nice square announced that the ff7 remake was being made and that the original was a free download to wet our appetite until the remake was released in Xmas 2020 😈
@marston1983 ah but I'm of the thought that SE wouldn't be able to pull off a FF7 remake. I also think the original is perfectly playable!
That said Tabita seems like a good candidate if they were to go ahead with a full on remake. But I dunno.. High-res advent children style character models running round with rubbish voice acting... I don't see it myself!
HD port of the original on the other hand, they can keep bringing these, in the same way as I appreciate blueray releases of classic films instead of having to watch VHS on my modern telly!
I think the original FF7 is only playable if you grew up with it or love older games. Even I find the grinding slightly tedious tho. The lack of voice acting is disappointing too. Other RPGs had voice acting back then, even if it was limited and suffering from bad dubs. ( Unless you played them in Japanese, ha! ) At least it was something. To get you through those important moments. I think games even older don't really need them tho, only those slightly newer games with a lot of text.
Final fantasy 12 hd remake. However and this is left field, a ff6 hd 3d remake. Who wants kefka laughing his nuts off at the world collapsing in 3d hd???
@Riririn Really don't class the lack of voice acting as a problem. Written text allows for much more content (obviously cuts down on the amount of voice work that needs recording) and just allows you to inject a bit of your own imagination into the characters. Cloud/Sephiroth/Barret etc. are all much worse once they start talking.
In terms of playability, I dunno - my girlfriend started playing FF9 for the first time a month ago having never played a FF game before and she loves it, 50 hours in. She's going to get on FF7 next. She hated 10 lol. Don't think you had to have grown up with them. I do see what you're saying though. But still, don't write them off.
@kyleforrester87 She's more patient than most people then. Many modern gamers want everything fast and they want real time action and cry even at the thought of spending hours just doing the same battles over and over again. Unless it's Pokémon, for some reason most people are fine with the way Pokémon plays. I love both.
@Riririn Yeah well I agree certainly it's not mainstream but nor are certain classic movies, doesn't mean they don't remain accessible to the right types of people now, even if they didn't grow up with them. As long as they can still be well represented on modern hardware they will be enjoyed by a certain type of gamer. The problem is playing the likes of FF7 on a 60inch HD TV is painful because it just doesn't look as good as it would do on a 18 inch CRT. So you either buy a CRT and play the old version, which isn't always an option for people, or buy upscaled versions of the games as they are released to play on your modern telly. Sure some of the spirit of the original will be lost in the transition but I think it's a fair compromise to keep certain legacy games relevant.
@kyleforrester87 Agreed, I only play N64 and PS1 games in my old little tube TV. PS2, Game Cube and newer on HD TV with components and HDMI cables.
@Riririn Totally, I need to pick up a old TV really...the other half is against it!
@kyleforrester87 Got mine in a goodwill store for like 2 bucks. =P Came with a remote too.Used to have some other ones from my childhood but they all broke down so I had to go find another one. I think it was worth it.
@Riririn Thats the other thing, I dread rooting through my old consoles to try and find out what has missing cables and what doesnt..!
@kyleforrester87 I tend to put everything in the same place and sticking white electrical tape on them and then write on the tape what it's for... Otherwise I'll never know what belongs to what. I have like 10 consoles in my room right now! The games go into many shelves along the wall.
On the topic tho, when WILL SqEn release that HD port of FF7? At least it's better than nothing if you don't already have it on PC. I know people hated that it was announced but my FF7 copy from 1998 needs to retire. It still works, I just don't feel like using it any more for my coming playthroughs.
@Riririn The HD port was supposed to be Spring 2015, they are getting pretty close to missing that boat and I've heard nothing about it since. Google hasnt helped. I understand it's a port of the Steam version. I also know there were problems with lower quality music on the Steam version initially, which I believe was resolved in a patch so it sounds just like the PS1 version. I'm really hoping the PS4 version comes through with the right soundtrack. I also believe the backgrounds are generally a bit lighter which some say mess with the atmosphere to a degree.. They could have a point.
I don't expect a great deal less pixelation with the backgrounds themselves. I'm sure the 3D models and text will all be sharper.

It's hard to rely on comparisons online as the PC versions often have extra mods and texture packs on the go. Fingers crossed they don't mess it up!
@kyleforrester87 Yeah, the music and backgrounds needs to be right. Maybe 8 and 9 will get the same treatment one day as well. Just next time, I hope SqEn wont be dumb and make people think they are making a remake when they are not.
Hopefully a release window for Final Fantasy XV is announced. I'd also like to see more of Star Ocean 5, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, and a couple surprises here and there.
Sod FFVII, sod Kingdom Hearts, sod FFXV, sod Tomb Raider.
Give me a Final Fantasy XII remaster.
@ApostateMage I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is announced. I'm certain they made a statement waaaaaaaay back that if the FFX/X-2 remasters did well, then they would look at an HD remaster of XII next. Seeing as the X/X-2 package seems to have done pretty well across all formats, I'd actually be more surprised if it wasn't announced!
My only concern is that they might not do a Vita version - that would really bum me out, as that's what I'm most keen to play it on.
@SteveButler2210 Same here. Really enjoyed playing X / X-2 Remaster on my Vita. Ditto with PSP/PS1 classics FFIV and VII.
Having said that, I still really want to pick up X / X-2 Remaster on PS4... when it drops in price a little.
I'd take a FF12 remake for sure, didn't really enjoy it on release but I've a feeling I'd get into it these days. I tried to replay it more recently but the camera controls are the wrong way round for me and there's no way to adjust them and I couldn't get my head around it
FFVII Remake for PS4 and FFVI remake for 3DS;
@johnny30 we are in a weird limbo that the next star ocean has already been leaked. Will it count as new to square enix or not? They decide.
