The day of reckoning has arrived here at Push Square Towers. Yes, if the stream of articles on the site's home page didn't already alert you, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is, er, out now. Of course, this can only mean one thing in the modern gaming industry: there's a day one patch to download. Fortunately, you won't have to wait too long to dive into Geralt of Rivia's open world adventure.
Popping in the disc as of the time of this report will prompt you to pull a 487MB file from the PlayStation Network servers, which bumps CD Projekt Red's latest up to v1.02. In addition to incorporating support for various (free) add-on packs, this also optimises the experience across the board, fixes a handful of quest issues, and stabilises the game's performance.
To be honest, we reviewed the release with these updates installed and still noticed the odd framerate fluctuation and bug on the PlayStation 4, but not enough to dampen our enjoyment. You can read our full appraisal of the game through here – and we promise that we'll talk about something else in due time.

Ha ha, keep talking! Got my copy ready and waiting for the wife and kids to go to bed... Good to know the patch won't take long.
