PlayStation 4 PS4

Sony's not only responsible for the success of the PlayStation 4 in Japan – you get the sense that it's single handedly attempting to maintain the relevancy of home consoles in the nation, too. Throughout the months of March, the manufacturer amassed an impressive roster of software – and the market responded emphatically. Now that the titles have dried up again, though, the system's starting to slip down the hardware charts.

Not willing to throw away that momentum, however, the manufacturer has dropped a new trailer showing off all of the titles set to deploy on its flagship format through the Spring and Summer months. It's not quite as tailored towards Eastern tastes as its previous roster of releases, but you'd expect the likes of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to do really well. It also teases upcoming titles, like Street Fighter V.

And the clip closes with a glimpse at the PlayStation Vita, with Persona 4 Dancing All Night taking top billing. There's some good stuff here, but we don't reckon that either appliance will be exploding on the Media Create charts any time soon. And with the mobile market growing in stature everyday overseas, it's a bit concerning that Sony's having to assemble seriously stellar software lineups to get any traction in its home nation.
