Wet, wet, wet

We were gutted when DriveClub was announced. Don't get us wrong, this author in particular has fallen in love with Evolution Studios' arcade racer, but there was hope around Push Square Towers that the Runcorn-based developer would make WaterStorm – a jet ski-based take on its off-road racing series. Alas, it looks like we're not getting anything like that soon.

Fortunately, there's still Riptide GP2, which launched on the Xbox One last year. This is the most recent oceanic outing from Vector Unit, the studio made famous by Hydro Thunder Hurricane on the Xbox 360. In addition to being a budget game, the spiritual successor includes tons of tracks, vehicles, and a complete career mode. We do like value for money around these parts.

And it's due out at the end of April – assuming that everything goes to plan. "We are [still bringing the game to the PS4]," a studio representative told us on Twitter. "We're hoping at the end of the month." We wonder if it will be PlayStation Flow compatible? Perhaps that explains the slight delay.
