Holding out for a hero

This whole Dissidia Final Fantasy thing is a bit mad. Coming to Japanese arcades, the brawler's been showcased running on PlayStation 4 hardware, and its arcade machine even boasts DualShock 4 controls, yet the game hasn't been confirmed for a release on Sony's home console. Only Square Enix could orchestrate this without a hint of comedy.

The situation's descended further into chaos today as the publisher has released not one, but two new trailers. The first is a gameplay video which shows some playable characters, a couple of stages, and general action, while the second compares the title's original arcade hardware to what's been achieved with the help of the PS4's innards – if that's not teasing, then we don't know what is. At least that remixed battle theme's pretty good, eh?
