"I'll be needing a salary review, Kaz"

Another month, another stunning PlayStation 4 milestone. Sony has announced that its current flagship format has now sold 20.2 million units globally, which is accurate as of 1st March. The platform holder last provided an update in early January, when it announced that it had sold 18.5 million units as of 4th January. Considering that these are typically the slowest months of the year, that's a phenomenal increase.

"We are so grateful for the enormous support from PlayStation fans worldwide, and we are truly humbled that gamers around the globe have continued to select PS4 as the best place to play," an elated Andrew House said as part of a press release. "We remain steadfast in our commitment to deliver unique and interactive entertainment experiences powered by the network and the PS4 system's deep social capabilities."

The company then went on to list a number of forthcoming titles, including Batman: Arkham Knight and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which will presumably be co-marketed on the platform holder's popular device. The unit's available now in 123 countries, but it should have been out in China, too; the manufacturer had to delay its launch in the tricky region indefinitely earlier in the year, but has yet to set a new date.
