Mmm, calories

And so marks the end of another long week. With the weather looking dismal – certainly in our neck of the woods, at least – video games seem like the perfect antidote for your winter blues. The big question is: what will you be playing this time around? Fortunately, we have a column designed to get to the bottom of just that.

I'll be whipping out my helmet and elbow pads and taking a trip to Olliwood this weekend, as I kickflip my way through OlliOlli 2. I'm not allowed to say too much about this just yet, but you can look for a review next week.

It's more family fun with Dead or Alive 5: Last Round for me this weekend [Weirdest family game ever – Ed], as I attempt to once again batter inexperienced relatives with no shame whatsoever. However, I think that I'm also going to crack out The Order: 1886, just to see them gaze in wonder. The reactions of those who hardly ever touch games should, in theory, be priceless.

With March's oncoming review onslaught, it's time for some personal gaming time. I'm plodding along through Tales of Hearts R with my pop band in tow – oh, the wonders of DLC. I also want to play Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires this weekend, but the mailman has yet to deliver.

After putting quite a bit of time into Evolve of late, I've become a little disillusioned with the experience. As the skill level of players using the monsters has reached such a high level, playing with randoms as the hunters pretty much always results in failure. As a result, I'm hanging up my hunting gear – for now – to spend some time over this weekend trying to finish Dying Light instead.

Not really too much gaming on the horizon this weekend unfortunately. On the bright side, there will be a lot of House of Cards.

With midterms smack-dab in the middle of next week, I must devote all of my energy to a couple of papers and tests that will be due before I see the light of spring break. However, to help maintain my sanity until then, I'll be playing and eventually reviewing Shadow of Mordor's The Bright Lord DLC. Will it live up to the core game's content and make up for its lame final boss? Time to trek to Mordor and find out...

This weekend, amid ongoing wedding planning, I'll be focusing my time on The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D mostly. If I've got a bit more time, I'll try to finish Sniper Elite 3 and Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark.

This weekend I'll be doing my duty as a Push Square scribe and catching up on some of the PlayStation classics that I skipped. Currently, that's Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy and the first God of War [How have you not already played these, Ryan? – Ed]. Hopefully I won't be burned at the stake for this.

We're done gabbing, so now it's your turn. What are you playing this weekend, y'all? Open those pie holes and let us know in the comments section below.
