SHAREfactory PS4

Way back when Sony released its free PlayStation 4 video editing suite SHAREfactory, we pondered whether it could become a bit of a cash cow for the platform holder. Well, judging by a post on the PlayStation Blog, it looks like that's about to happen, as senior producer Stuart Platt has revealed that the app's first premium theme will hit the PlayStation Store today.

Not every single theme will cost money, as Guerrilla Games has confirmed that its Killzone: Shadow Fall set – featuring intros, outros, transitions, and stickers – will be free to download. Destiny, LittleBigPlanet 3, PES 2015: Pro Evolution Soccer, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will also be joining the complimentary roster, while you'll need to cough up for the nifty looking eighties option.

You should expect many more paid sets in the future, too, as it sounds like the manufacturer's just getting started. Of course, outside of these additions, the app is also growing independently. Today's latest update will allow you to use your PlayStation Network avatar in your clips, and will also enable you to upload videos to YouTube and Facebook even faster.

We suppose that the big question is: do you still use this application? Cut a cool highlights reel in the comments section below.
