Does anyone even care anymore?

Colour us surprised: we were pretty confident that the original Titanfall would be at the very least announced for the PlayStation 4 by now. If you go back and listen to the Xbox console exclusivity confirmation, the words used were "for the life of the title" – a wishy-washy statement that didn't seem to preclude a 'Game of the Year' type edition from deploying on Sony's next-gen super machine.

Either way, one thing that is becoming clear is that Titanfall 2 will come to all available appliances, and EA executive Blake Jorgensen more or less confirmed as much during a convention in San Francisco earlier today. "Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven't yet announced, but we'll probably have another Titanfall game," he said. "It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that that's a huge positive for us."

Given that the PS4 is far and away the most popular console on the market right now, it certainly makes sense for EA to be hitting the machine with the biggest audience. In fact, we get the impression that its PlayStation Experience giveaway was a sign of the organisation trying to build bridges, as it partnered with Microsoft for practically every single product in its portfolio last year. To be honest, we reckon that it's probably rueing that decision right now.
