There's the proof

The Sengoku Basara series is returning to the fray this Summer, as its newest instalment slashes onto the PS4 and PS3. Named Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi, the update will feature forty playable characters, and the PS4 version will run in 60 frames-per-second at 1080p — which sounds rather glorious.

For anyone who's out of the loop, the franchise is essentially a Warriors game turned up to 11, and takes place in the same feudal era as Samurai Warriors. It's a little more linear than Koei Tecmo's hack and slashers, but the combat is more like something that you'd expect to see in a Devil May Cry title, with massive combos and outrageous aerial attacks taking centre stage.

Still, we wouldn't get too excited, because the chances of it coming West are somewhat slim. That said, we dare say that the PS4's global popularity does give the game a better chance of sailing overseas. Are you prepared to march? Unsheathe your oversized weapon in the comments section below.
