Nyko's clearly eyeing that enormous PlayStation 4 install base with real eagerness right now. In addition to the Data Bank, the accessories manufacturer has also dreamed up a DualShock 4 type pad, which will add a mini-keyboard to the controller. This plugs right into the bottom of the device, and will operate over Bluetooth.
In addition to lurid orange keys, the unit also sports a mini analogue nub, presumably for controlling the cursor in the PS4's web browser. Again, there's no word on a price for this, but it's due out in early 2015.
Now all we need is for Sony to fix the console's messaging utility – or for SEGA to port Typing of the Dead to the device. Please do both.

@Savino Yeah, I think it does. I guess this is just an alternative - would be good for something like Final Fantasy XIV, where you need to type a lot, but also need to keep your hands on the controller.
I think i tried plugging in a USB keyboard but it just ignored me, meh. Any improvement on the horrific cursor is welcomed.
Would love to have my roller ball mouse and keyboard instead of controller to play games, but I will buy this little keyboard, only thing is if the keyboard has an orange back light... Will that mean thee already rubbish controller battery will be even worse?!?!
@get2sammyb Ohhh man.. this for Final fantasy XIV opens up so much control. You can assign hotkeys and macros to allllll them keys. Best of both worlds!
Finally, I've have room for all my emote macros! Them lalafells won't know what hit them. I just hope it's comfortable, has a nice tactile feel, and some type of headphone bypass.
Oh god, this reminds me of the Xbox 360 days when I played Final Fantasy XI Online.
PS4 does support keyboards and mice, in fact, it even supports my nostromo!
If it works as well as the 360 chatpad, I'll probably get this.
Always wanted a keypad for that just because reason! Heck I don't mind using the 2 methods of typing on the 4...I even send voice messages but this will be faster!
Wouldn't mind getting it. Reminds me of the old 360 chatpad oh the good old days.
