DmC: Definitive Edition for PS4 Unleashes Its Combo Earlier Than Expected

Yeah, I'm a pretty big Ninja Theory fan, but I just could not truck with new-Dante at all. I couldn't even make it through the demo....

@k_andersen You know he's been confirmed to be a younger version of the actual Dante from the other games (DmC takes place a few hundred years before DMC3)?
By the end of the game he matures into the Dante we all know and love. It's a decent origin story but there are a lot of new plot holes because of new events but that's how the DMC series has been since the anime was made, they really don't look ahead when writing their stories.

@DHW I did not know that, but it makes a lot of sense. Like I say, I've only really played the demo, so I'm definitely judging it way too harshly for how much I've played

@DHW how can that be the same Dante only younger? He fights Mundus in this game, he fights Mundus in the original DMC and has no idea who he is. SPOILERS Virgil & Dante beat mundus in this game, Virgil doesnt meet Mundus until the end of DMC3 and then Mundus turns him into the Dark Knight you fight in the original DMC.

Pretty sure its a reboot >_> if not, jeez thats a real messed up story timeline, even for DMC

@k_andersen I got use to the way he looks, but the way he talks/behaves in the game.....really got on my nerves. Hes a real d bag for most of it til the end

Is the re-release of this one and Devil May Cry 4 getting us ready for a brand new version??? Would love to see a newer one...but I'd also love to see sequels to Eternal Darkness, Legacy of Kain, Dark Cloud, Star Ocean, Harvest Moon (One for playstation), Super Monkey Ball, Viewtiful Joe, Dante's Inferno, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Parasite Eve, Grandia and more.

I thought it was a solid game but wouldn't buy again. I guess I shouldn't say again since I got it the first time on PS+.

I've never had a problem with releasing my combo too early.

If you couldn't even make it through the demo then I really don't think you're in the position to complain about the "protagonist's constant whining." Had you actually completed the game you'd probably realize that that isn't the case at all.

And I love how people claim that this Dante is emo. Right, because all men with short dark hair must be emo. But having silver-blonde hair covering your eyes with a rose in your mouth? Nope, totally not emo in the slightest. So many people hate on this game for no damn reason, and I bet most of them have never played a second of it... not even the demo.

I loved this and although I got this on Ps plus on ps3 I think it's worth having on ps4

@Diddy_kong played all of it. Great combat as always, real average cast/forgetful bosses. Dante aint emo, just an A hole in this one.

@get2sammyb Seconded. DmC is one of the best reboots Ive ever played.
Changed the lead without taking away his stylish swordplay, slick shooting and lame quips.
Cant wait!

In my opinion, if anyone was unbearably whiny and emo to the point of annoyance, it was Vergil in the god-awful DLC.

@Godsire- I'm skeptical on how much resources they will put on remaster DMC4SE thought... the graphic in early PS3 period is poor...
