Titanfall PS4

Here’s a strange one: Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment will appear as part of a panel at PlayStation Experience this week. The Californian studio has only released one title to date – the aforementioned Xbox and PC exclusive – making its presence at a Sony-centric convention a little strange to say the least. Could this all be connected to Peter Moore’s shock announcement?

According to GameSpot, the panel that the studio will appear at is named ‘Greatness for Everyone’, and will supposedly centre on getting a job in the industry, so that does make a little more sense. However, we still maintain that ambiguous language was used when EA revealed that the company's shooter wouldn’t be coming to the PlayStation 4, as it was described as an Xbox and PC exclusive for the “life of the title”.

Surely that means that a hypothetical Titanfall: Ultra Edition would be free to release on Sony’s next-gen machine? We do know that the developer is working on a second project, but it seems far too early for a reveal related to that. Perhaps we’re reading into things far too deeply, but we still reckon that the inclusion of a non-PlayStation developer at a PlayStation Experience panel is strange.
