And so the silly season begins in earnest. There have been a number of high-profile releases over the past couple of months, but November’s impending software tidal wave is truly something to behold. With the likes of Assassin’s Creed Unity and Grand Theft Auto V on the way, we suspect that a fair few of you will be counting your pennies carefully right now. Fortunately, if you’re also in the market for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the latest entry in Activision’s uber-popular first-person franchise, then we’ve taken the time to collate some of the title's very best UK prices in preparation for its Day Zero release.
- Tesco - £35.00 - Create a new account and use voucher code 'TDX-PYXM'
- Simply Games - £37.85
- Amazon.co.uk - £40.00
- GameStop UK - £44.97
- GAME - £47.99
- Zavvi - £48.99
Not especially amazing deals, then, though the top two options from Tesco and Simply Games are as low as blockbuster next-gen games tend to go at launch right now. It’s also worth mentioning that if you pre-order from the PlayStation Store for £54.99, you’ll unlock a digital copy on the PlayStation 3 for free, which is helpful if you’ve got friends on both machines. Will you be picking up this game, and from where? Have you found a better deal? Let us know in the comments section below.

a heads up to anyone undecided about getting this i've had it since yesterday morning and the multiplayer is pretty much a copy/paste of ghosts multiplayer (the worst imo) but obviously with double jump and dashing, disappointing really as IW and TA usually have a different feel to each other i was hoping sledgehammers would too, campaign is awesome tho.
@TOMBOY25 How's the story?
@get2sammyb im actually only on the 3rd mission (turned it of as the MP p*ssed me off) but it has a very cinematic feel to it even though i've only done two mission they were pretty cool, like they said they're going for a blend of game and film.
@get2sammyb I completed the story yesterday and it was a lot better than ghosts but still disappointing. Also played the multiplayer and Exo-survival today. Exo-survival is lame but online feels a lot more interesting!
I found Ghosts pretty terrible in comparison with Black Ops 2.
Was interested in AW, think I'll leave it this time.
Should really get back in to Shadow Fall.
Sound,i'll grab one of those from tesco.Its a fiver off ain't it.Cheers @get2sammyb
Picked mine up as a pre order for a fiver from GameStop, traded in a couple of games that cost me about 15 quid total. No bad huh.
@TOMBOY25 you have just saved me 40 quid with the whole copy paste of ghosts MP thing. Thanks, all I honestly needed to hear so will save the money towards Dragon Age. I wish cod would go back to ww2 or someone would for a ps4 shooter...
Wasn't going to buy this , or ghosts last year , but I cant help myself I've always brought COD games only for the multiplayer , my fav is still World at war . Let's see if advanced warfare will change that , but for some reason I doubt it :/ fingers crossed
Videogamer.com gave it 8/10 sounds good the multiplayer sounds really good
Got it today from Argos (they well selling Day zero editions a day earlier) and so far it's enjoyable, and so far the game has made a better impression than Ghost did.
I liked Ghosts campaign just fine, but for once couldn't get into the multiplayer, or that aliens nonsense. I'm gonna pick up Advanced Warfare tomorrow. Fingers crossed the multiplayer is great.
The Tesco code only seems to be for pre-order titles so not valid for CoD anymore...
@Zep_Fan_81
Yes, I too hope this as the Campaigns always seem better, but those chances are slim.
@get2sammyb @TOMBOY25 question: on the PSN store (here: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-gb/home/main) it shows two of the same CoD:AW, one for £49.99 and one for £54.99... While I'm fairly sure the cheaper one is the PS3 version, it shows them both as PS3 AND PS4... can someone please clarify? Can I get the PS4 version for £49.99??
Thanks.
@seeafish The cheaper one is indeed the ps3 version however if you buy the ps3 digital version before a certain date (march 31st i think) you get the ps4 version free more info can be found here.

Thanks @TOMBOY25 guess I'll get the "PS3" version then!
