The Order: 1886 PS4 1

Let’s be honest: Sony’s done a pretty terrible job promoting forthcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886 so far. After an impressive unveiling, the company’s recycled a pretty bland demo, which has been doing the rounds at virtually every gaming convention under the sun for months now. Even developer Ready at Dawn has shown some frustration at the omnipresent overview, taking to social media on multiple occasions to point out that the sampler is almost as ancient as the title’s source material.

Fortunately, it will get one last shot before the historical escapade’s February launch to change perception on the game. Writing on Twitter, the studio stressed that next month’s PlayStation Experience fan event will play host to a brand new hands-on demo from the shooter – and we have to imagine that this will be near final code. With the right cross-section, this could make or break the release, so we’ve got our fingers crossed that the firm picks the right slice. What are you hoping to see?
