In case you weren't paying attention, the PlayStation 4's recent massive firmware update has seen several users reporting a glitch which makes it impossible to turn the super system back on once it's been put into Rest Mode. Obviously, the Japanese giant probably wasn't too keen on people not being able to access their expensive new consoles, so it promised to get its boffins in the firmware department on the case as soon as possible.

Luckily, a proper fix is now in sight, with a recent tweet from the SCEA Twitter account confirming as such. "PS4 software update v2.01 is coming soon," the firm said. "And will address issues some users have encountered when powering on the system from Rest Mode." Unfortunately, no concrete date was provided for the patch, but we suspect that it'll be sooner rather than later.

Have you been having trouble with your PS4 since the last firmware update, or has it been smooth sailing? Reboot in the comments section below.
