Live and kicking

As previously promised, PlayStation 4 firmware update v2.00 has launched. The hotly anticipated software refresh brings with it a bevy of regularly requested features, including Share Play, YouTube compatibility, and more. It took us approximately five minutes to download and install the update on an average Internet connection, but your mileage may vary.

While we’re still getting stuck into the operating system overhaul, early impressions are good. For instance, PlayStation Network functions such as the Friends List appear to be loading much quicker, but we suppose that that could be a placebo effect.
