One of the biggest requests for Push Square both internally and externally is some kind of podcast, but it’s been on the backburner for some time now. However, at EGX London last week, we decided to give the idea a go, in order to catalogue both our experiences on the show floor – and also see if the concept would actually, y'know, work.
Consider this a pilot episode of kinds, as your humble host is joined by Sammy Barker, Robert Ramsey, and Ben Tarrant to discuss some of the PlayStation 4’s biggest upcoming games. There are few teething troubles for sure [Like the fact that Sammy just won’t shut up – Ed], but do let us know what you think – and, crucially, whether you’d like more of these – in the comments section below.
Games Discussed
1:40 - OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood
4:40 - Bloodborne
8:50 - The Evil Within
13:00 - Until Dawn
18:25 - The Order: 1886
24:20 - WWE 2K15
29:10 - DriveClub
31:50 - LittleBigPlanet 3
35:10 - SingStar Ultimate Party
36:30 - Assassin's Creed Unity
41:00 - Dragon Age: Inquisition
46:00 - Far Cry 4

Cheers for the invite, lads
Seriously, though, this was a lot of fun, and I look forward to more of them!
Just been listening to this over lunch - nice one lads! Wish we could have done this last year. I wasn't convinced about The Order either Robert :/ Far Cry 4 however, now that I'm excited for! Kyrat truly looks amazing.
Also, love your LBP3 cover ;D
@rjejr We played them all on PS4, though. Every single game on this list was being shown on PS4, even though some are coming to PS3/Vita.
Glad you guys are doing a podcast...type...thing with regards to The Order, with it been the same demo since before E3, is it possible that it's been the same build cos if it is then it's pretty old (in development terms) now. They may well have improved the gunplay, enemy AI etc?
@rjejr Yeah, I think that's generally fair, it's clear I (or we) need to do better in this department. Don't worry, I have heard you, and will try harder in this department!
@adf86 Yeah, the demo's got to be about six months old at this point. I can't imagine Ready at Dawn's overly stoked at it doing the rounds to be honest.
It says 0 seconds ago?? Wtf?
@Davs_Due Magic!
@rjejr : but it says "listen to us discuss the ps4's biggest upcoming games" (so i think the clue is in the title there) .
also , would sony show up to a major show with a ps2 and games? (probably not)
i disagree that pushSquare is ps4 biased , however , i think that pS4 is bound to dominate pushSquare because this is sony's flagship console .
go in to a new car showroom and ask about a car from 2010 and what are they going to say ? (even if you argue the fact that you can still buy accessories for it) .
when (or if) you buy a ps4 is entirely up to you , like yourself , i too do not own a ps4 , but i don't expect pushSquare to tailor their content because of this .
EGX queuing was crazy took forever to try Driveclub etc.
@rjejr @eliotgballade Let's not get too off-topic, please. I definitely think rjejr has a point, and, like I've said, I 100 per cent take his feedback on board. I'm sure we can keep everyone happy in this department - just need to do better!
@rjejr : maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree here (pun definitely intended) but ; ps2 = obsolete system , ps3 = soon to be obselete system (deal with it !)
i was careful to say "new" car showroom . sure they'll have a used car lot , what i was saying was you'd rarely find an old model (even new old stock) in the showroom .
maybe the podcast should have a disclaimer stating content may be unsuitable/offensive for non ps4 owners ?
P4 ? presume you're refering to the Ps4 (yep , i can be petty too). like i said , ps4 is the flagship machine , so the emphasis should always be with this . having said that , by no means do i get the impression that pushSquare is ignoring everything else ( but what do i know )
@eliotgballade Enough!
Brilliant!
Nicely done guys. Not enough Alex for my liking though. I'm sure you can rectify that for episode two.
@rjejr All good, the feedback's helpful - just don't want to take things too far off-topic!
@AlexStinton We definitely could do with someone with BBC experience...
@get2sammyb Joking aside, that was a really good listen.
enjoyed the vid! you guys got me hyped up for some games! especially bloodborne, hated demon souls and dark souls. was not my kind of game, but i am intrigued to say the least by bloodborne, and most of these games.
This was great fun, awesome work as ever Potter. Bloodborne has my full attention after EGX and thank god The Crew got a much-needed delay!
As for the co op in Bloodborne, I can confirm that its there. We were reminded to test it out in the Alpha. All i can say is Bloodborne is 100% amazing.
@Jazzer94 That is the game British people enjoy most - queuing.
"OlliOlli earns a place among skateboarding's gaming greats"-GameSpot
How far the skateboarding genre has fallen since the downward spiral of the Tony Hawk series is so sad. On another note I have played a better flash skateboarding game then what OlliOlli looks like.
Has anyone seen or tried the 'bonfire' system, does it exist in some form for bloodborne?
