Grand Theft Auto V was already one of the larger last-gen games, rendering it completely incompatible with 12GB PlayStation 3 consoles – so it’s perhaps no surprise to see it slot in the upper-echelon of next-gen titles, too. A listing on the PlayStation Store suggests that Rockstar’s remastered epic will consume 50GB of your PlayStation 4’s hard drive space, which is a similar sum to the likes of Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Last of Us Remastered.
Of course, as a pre-order listing, it could also be inaccurate – but considering the lengths that the developer’s gone to enhance Los Santos, we certainly wouldn’t be surprised. Bizarrely, the documentation also mentions PlayStation Move support, but that may be stock information, as we doubt that you’ll be whipping out your luminescent wands in order to guide Trevor through another killing spree. Having said that, the poorly supported peripheral would surely make the title’s wonky aiming a touch more tolerable. We live in hope.

Not a lot considering I haven't had a PS4 game in two months 😩
That would take me a good 8 hours to DL. I wonder how long before I would get to start playing it? I guess now a days its all pre-order pre-install while you sleep stuff anyway.
My current PS3 must have a severely fragmented HDD b/c it takes half as long to install stuff as DL it. Years ago - before 100's of GB of PS+ had come and gone - it was lickety split. And I have about 150GB free of 500GB so space shouldn't really be an issue. Though I can imagine its all scattered little blocks of space. Oh well.
Shadow of mordor and asasin Creed will make me postpone gta till next year
I need to save some money on Nov for tales if heart
@rjejr I think i have a way to fix your issue. If you can turn on you PS3 into Safe Mode, you can click Option 3. It will restore the file system, fixing any fragments, and fixing any corrupted stuff. However if something is to corrupted to fix it will delete that file. Ive used it a few times however and it never deleted anything on my PS3. And it did fix a lot of issues i had. Hope this helps! Ill leave a link on how to get into safe mode.

There is Instructions and a FAQ on what each option does. Just read it first before you try anything. I dont want you to mess anything up before anything happens.
@delukze All that free space^-^
50GB is a lot, but I wouldn't have it less. This game better look super good.
I couldn't care less. Im upgrading my PS4 to a 1TB hybrid hard drive (As I've already filled the 500gb HDD that came with my pS4) at Christmas as a gift to myself. I would ask santa but something tells me I wouldn't get it
@WARDIE I've done the same. It's worth it for the loading time decrease alone...
I've got a solid state HDD in my laptop but does to really make that much of a difference in a ps4? I do buy all my games digital from psn.
@Alpha - Thanks for the info. I think I tried that 5 years ago when I had my original 80GB but all the disclaimer erasing warnings scared me off. Now that I have so many saves in the cloud w/ PS+ maybe I'll give it a shot. It really is annoying when a 1GB game takes 5 minutes to install when it use dot be 15 or 20 seconds. .
And this is one of the reasons I wait on buying a console at launch.
Give us a real f*@%(! hard drive, Sony. We all know you will eventually. 500 gb is a joke & they knew it long ago. I'll wait for a PS4 'slim' or whatever the hell they call it & it better have a bigger hard drive.
@rjejr I remember when I used to do that too, see a warning and run and hide lol. But do let me know if it helps. If not the hard drive could just be getting old too.
@Godsire- ps3 may j remind you of sonys re re release of the ps3? Ps3 super slim 12gb bundle...... Really Sony????? Are you F*****g kidding me?
@dire_distortion I heard it does but its really expensive. I watched Tested (youtube channel) and they showed boot times, game start times among other things side buy side between the standard HDD, the Solid State Drive and the Hybrid Hard Drive. Hybrid is the best due to it being middle ground. Lower price than Solid State but bigger memory. A tad bit slower, but way faster than the standard HDD. I'll embed the video below as in my opinion it worth to watch if you want to find out info for ps4.
Time to get a 1tb or 2tb upgrade, although I was gonna hold back for this upgrade as I've been waiting for some media support. Not surprised as I new Gta would be a big one.
And just remember how lucky we are to upgrade as the x box 1 will have to brake warranty to do this! !!! Another one of my big reasons to why I got the ps4.
That's like 10% of the Stock HDD
