We still don’t know exactly when Final Fantasy XV’s demo will release, but we do know that anyone who purchases a brand new copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD next year will be eligible to download the taster on the PlayStation 4. Dubbed ‘Episode Duscae’, the sampler will supposedly offer three to four hours of gameplay, which will give you a feel for many of the long overdue sequel's systems.
Among the things that you’ll discover will be dungeons, but you won’t find any bosses; instead, the studio hints that you’ll encounter something much more impressive, which will apparently have a huge impact on fans of the franchise. Feel free to submit your suggestions on a postcard – or in the comments section below.
Confirming that you’ll be able to drive the car in the title’s latest trailer, the organisation stressed that you’ll be able to complete the demo quicker if you speed to your destinations. However, it’ll be totally up to you how you play – there’s even the suggestion that you may be able to ride a Chocobo, too. If you’re not into the driving mechanics, there’ll be an autodrive option for you to use.
Just in case you missed it, you can catch some new gameplay footage from Square Enix’s hotly anticipated game through here. Are you really starting to look forward to this next-gen sampler? Style your hair into an impressive shape, and share your thoughts in the space below.

Well at least I know the car is drive-able
Wow, you can drive the car? Seemed so auto-pilot in the trailer. Guess theres more to this game than meets the eye.
On the bright side, if they cant even figure out when ythe demo is coming out I dont have to be in any hurry to get a PS4. I just remembered I bought a PS2 right after FFX came oit the system dropped to $199. I'll get a PS4 for $299, gotta factor in inflation
I'll most likely play this demo twenty times waiting for the game to come out, although I still need to play xiii-3. Kingdom hearts hd remix 2.5 I suppose will also tide me over.
@get2sammyb haven't you said you aren't a big fan of final fantasy? Or was that someone else?
@soracloud28 Nah, I'm not a huge fan. This one, though, has always had my attention. I'm not an enormous fan of traditional RPGs, so I think it's probably the more action approach that has hooked me in.
Sounds awesome, I wish Nintendo would release a demo for Xenoblade Chronicles X like this.
@soracloud28 yeah I still have XIII-3 (aka Lightning Returns) to play it's still in my backlog along with a few other games
also I need to finish Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance before KH 2.5 is released
@get2sammyb I totally agree. I've never been a fan of the more traditional turn based rpg, but this action FF has got me interested. I usually go for rpg's like Fallout, Elder Scrolls and The Witcher. I just hope FFXV is as good as it looks.
@FullbringIchigo dream drop distance got a lot of hate but it's my second favorite entry in the series. I know this is a playstation website, but I just gotta say an had remake of dream drop distance for woo u would sell like crazy.
Haha hd remake for wii u*
@get2sammyb I totally understand, I've had a lot of Friends not get into turn based jrpgs, the nes and Snes final fantasy were some of my earliest in depth video game experiences, at the age of 4. So they definitely shaped my interests.
@soracloud28 to be honest a HD version on PS3/4 would be cool too or even a Vita version
but yeah it is a underrated game and a lot of fun
Quite looking forward to this, then. I can see myself playing it a lot if the areas are reasonably large.
@FullbringIchigo i will take anything on my ps4
Sounds kinda like what Ground Zeroes was supposed to offer, but now you actually get a full game. lol
@get2sammyb same here! !!! Took the words right out of my head! !!
I love turn based rpg's when they're done right or at least to my liking. I liked the retro FF games and I also liked FF7, FF10, and FF12, Ultima Exodus, Dragon Warrior, Wizardry series, the FF tactics games. If they make this new Final Fantasy like FF13 was, I won't even look at it.
@Demi_God agreed, if ff15 is anything like 13 at all it would be a massive disappointment and would not get my cash.
@Mrskinner apparently the battle system is based on Kingdom Hearts battle system
definitely excited about this. FFXV is being hated on however by select people for the observation that ffxv is an action rpg not a turnbased however we do not know in the end what it will be like but its just funny how people judge a game on a trailer for a game that wont even come out until late next year or 2016
