Weirdness: Destiny's Ghost Has Taken the Ice Bucket Challenge

Posted by Sammy Barker

And it's nominated Joel from The Last of Us

While we appreciate that it’s all for a very good cause, we were just beginning to get bored of the influx of Ice Bucket Challenge videos online – but this brilliant Destiny clip has refreshed our enthusiasm. After being nominated earlier in the week, the Peter Dinklage voiced Ghost has been drenched – by a bucket from the moon.

And it has other video game characters in its sights, including Jonathan Irons – otherwise known as Kevin Spacey – from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Joel from The Last of Us. Seeing as Naughty Dog has made a ton of fan animations, we suspect that it will take up the challenge in aid of raising awareness for ALS. Which other digital stars would you like to get wet? Let us know in the comments section below.

@Swiket Oh good lord that is the most horrifying thing I've ever seen.

OP: That was awesome. Loved how they called out a series Activision doesn't own. Time to step up, Naughty Dog!

This is bogus. The person (or thing in this case) that takes the bucket is the one who nominates.

But nice to see they are donating some of their earnings.

@RawWilson1 played the Beta and it's good and all, but I still maintain that it's just borderlands minus fun. It's a very good looking game, but from a single player perspective there doesn't seem to be much going for it.

As cool as it is, surely the article should be about Digital Extreme, who used Warframe and the Corpus to do the ice bucket challenge and nominated Destiny's ghost. Not sure if anyone nominated them beforehand though.

@RawWilson1 one thing that does bother me about destiny is how big is the actual game going to be? The $60 version is capped at lvl 20 and I just seen two expansion packs one for December of this year and the other for February not sure of the price but isn't that like way to early to be releasing expansion packs? I actually thought for a second to just cancel my pre order I'm still not sure what to do yet
