Can't be for nothing

That ain’t no Clicker that you can hear in the distance – it’s the sound of applause erupting from Naughty Dog’s roomy Californian office. Cryptically writing on Twitter, lead animator Mike Yosh has posted a picture of a gold bar, which is almost certainly connected to the completion of PlayStation 4 re-release The Last of Us Remastered, rather than some form of incoming riches.

Just ten days ago, the firm submitted a gold release candidate to Sony’s quality assurance department, which has seemingly come back all clear. This means that the title is now ready for manufacturing ahead of its 29th July launch in North America. It also presumably indicates that we’ll actually, y’know, get to see some proper gameplay footage soon. Please.
