FFXIV

Whether you're up to date with your raids or you've left your account to go unloved, the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4's popular MMO Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has a bucket load of juicy new content to keep you entertained during the summer and beyond. With everything from player-versus-player to Chocobo breeding available right now, there's never been a better time to get lost in Eorzea.

For those playing for the plot, you've been requested to save the world again as one of the Children of Light in the Defenders of Eorzea storyline. Of course, where there is plot, there are also Primal battles – and the latest joining the fray is the Lightning God himself, Ramuh. While you can challenge him in hard and extreme modes, make sure that you don't get lost in his enormous beard during the encounter.

We all know that MMOs are really about killing the biggest nasties that the world has to offer, though, and thankfully there's plenty to do in this department. End game dungeon The Crystal Tower has been given a new spire to climb along with three new bosses. Whether you're running in a free company or pulling together a team, we're sure that there will be plenty of tears – and even more blood. The normal dungeons haven't been left out, with Hullbreaker Isle joining the ranks, while the existing Stone Vigil and Tam-Tara Deepcroft both receive hard modes.

If you're eager for something extra to do while gathering, however, a new hunting system has been added so that you can claim the bounties on rare monsters roaming the lands. If all of that isn't good enough, you can join the Frontlines and get involved in PvP action and make a name for yourself.

For those of you looking to mess around, you can spend your time decorating private chambers in your Free Company House. There'll be no more fights in chat over decor as you can have your own personal room to design and waste money on. If you're not one for interior design, you can hit the great outdoors and visit the free company stables to do some Chocobo breeding. While you can currently only feed and train your loyal steed to reach its full potential, we doubt that it will be long before you can breed them to collect every colour under the rainbow.

If it's your first time joining or you're returning after a long break, don't forget that you can upgrade the PlayStation 3 version free of charge. Have you been waiting on the sidelines for this online adventure to gain more content? Get hyped in the comments section below.
