PlayStation 4 exclusive inFAMOUS: Second Son’s photo mode may have been added as a simple post-release patch, but it’s clear that developer Sucker Punch struck gold with the feature. We recently pondered whether more games should support the option, and it seems that Naughty Dog agrees, with The Last of Us Remastered set to secure the functionality as part of a release day patch.
The only difference here is that the studio appears to be taking things to the next level. Much like in Delsin Rowe’s superheroic stomp through Seattle, you’ll be able to manipulate the camera independently, and set various focus and zoom parameters. However, you’ll also be able to apply borders, vignettes, and colour filters, all of which you’ll be able to toggle the intensity of.
The footage below shows the feature in its entirety, as well as a handful of sample snaps. There’s also the promise of some kind of photography competition, so you better work on finding Joel’s best side.

That looks cool I wish the vita games had this too like uncharted or gravity rush or even sly cooper trilogy or minecraft on vita
awesome. I was hoping it wasn't a one trick pony.
Is this the new standard feature for Sony exclusive games? Sure hope so. It's really nice to capture those action scenes, and peaceful sunset areas. You can open them on you computer, see the fine details, and really appreciate all the work that went into this type of game.
Wow I'm so glad I already preordered it! Can't wait to snap away!
@BlueProxy I reckon you're going to see more developers do it a lot more. It was so popular in inFAMOUS, after all.
It's gonna be funny to see the PS4 version sell more copies than the PS3 version.
