With Push Square member ztpayne7 calling last week's edition of Who Would Win Wednesdays "probably the strangest matchup I've seen here", we've decided to scale things back a little and put together a fight between two more recognisable characters for today's match. That's not to say, of course, that our previous duel was duff, despite its somewhat niche combatants. Between the hefty Amazon and the burly Arishok, the axe wielding giantess came out on top, reinforcing the theory that you lot really don't like Dragon Age.

He might fancy himself as a masked and mysterious vigilante, but Watch Dogs' lead character has been the talk of the gaming sphere over the past couple of weeks. In combat, Aiden's a rather good marksman who's able to pop heads from impressive distances with the right equipment, and he's not bad at close range either, where he smashes people around the chops with his tactical baton. And obviously, his smartphone also allows him to hack electrical devices, meaning that he's best suited to being a tactical fighter who can manipulate his surroundings. However, he does have to take regular breaks from dealing out justice in order to sandpaper his throat.

Even when he's out of his head on alcohol, Max Payne has proven time and time again that he's probably one of the best gunmen in the PlayStation universe. Favouring dual pistols, this combat veteran almost turns gunplay into an art form, as he hops from cover to cover and pulls off shots at frankly ridiculous angles. Of course, you can't size Max up without mentioning his trademark ability to heighten his reflexes, which slows time around him as he picks off enemies with stunning accuracy. But that's not all, as this no doubt smelly marksman is also able to fling himself into advantageous positions like a graceful sandbag in Max Payne 3 – a movement mechanic that usually results in hilarity rather than excitement.
