With a torrent of titles arriving in the West, it's safe to say that fans of console parody JRPG series Hyperdimension Neptunia have been kept largely satisfied. From saving the Gameindustri in the core series to becoming the ultimate idol in Producing Perfection, it can be confusing to find a good point to jump onto this particular speeding train. Thankfully, it's a good time to hop aboard with VIta's Hyperdimension Neptuina Re;Birth 1 — a remake of the first Neptunia title — which is set to release in North America on the 26th August and Europe on the 27th.
While still covering all of the content from the original, it's received an upgrade that makes it more accessible to new fans as well as veterans wanting to go back and revisit the story. The plot remains the same, although all the character interactions have been revamped to maximise shenanigans between our lovely CPUs. For those revisiting, a new ending's also been added so that you've still got something new to experience. Elsewhere, the original's battle system faces the chopping block, with the release instead equipping the more recent mechanics found in Hyper Dimension Neptunia Victory. Are you taking a trip down the console memory lane, or will you be a first time buyer? State which side you're on in the comments section below.

great I love this series
Looking forward to grabbing this, Danganronpa 2 and Disgaea 4 for Vita later in the year... Good old NIS(A) keeping the vita alive.
Wanted to like the original, but the framerate, slow battle system, and some of the game mechanics killed it for me.
I'll be picking this one up though, since it seems like they fixed those problems. Plus, it's on Vita, so I can play this in privacy.
WAAAAY too corny for me. I'll stick to JRPGs that I can play in public.
So ready to play HDN Again
