Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain PS4

We love to have a little fun with our games here at Push Square, and a first look at Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's gameplay shows our antics won't be limited to killing guards while they drool over naughty magazines. Over on Konami's YouTube channel, dedicated fans were able to get a sneak peek at the exclusive 30 minute demo reserved for E3's invited hopefuls. While it may only offer a miniscule glimpse in Japanese, we were able to get a look at the unique airlifting mechanic.

We've all knocked out a guard, only to have a patrolling officer find it later and blow your cover. The airlifting mechanic – as demonstrated by a humble sheep – puts an end to the misery in this open world adventure. Footage showed enemies being knocked out using a tranquilizer gun, before removing the evidence via this small, presumably rocket propelled, parachute.

Not only is this going to be handy for the inevitable stealth achievements, it's also quite humorous hearing the guards scream as they are propelled into space. The mechanic won't be limited to just the living, as at the end of the footage we witnessed a massive metal storage container blast off also. We aren't sure how else this will be used in the finished game, but we can guarantee that it will bring hours of share button silliness.
